The old Zenit SLR
Posted by photonovice on April 5th, 2007
My wife found my old Zenit 12XP on the loft.
It was hiding there for the past 3 years and I have not been using it for at least 8 years.
I was so excited holding it in my hands. It is heavy like a piece of stone. Completely undestructable. And surprisingly it seems to be working. I bought the batteries for its internal metering and gave it a try.
The shutter shakes the camera and my hand like a gun when shooting. I don’t know how precise the lens and shutter is, since the pictures are not developed yet from the film. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you posted.
Believe it or not this is really the first time when the numbers on the lens and the body are telling me something.
For taking these shots I prepared my home made light tent.
