Inspirations For Portraiture Photography
Posted by photonovice on March 1st, 2008
As a preparation for the portrait photography course I’m going to attend I try to force myself not checking articles and reviews on photography gear but rather exploring great inspirational portraiture sources.
There’s been one for quite some time in my blogroll: Portrait Photos – Portraits with Soul. I check it regularly: it’s great, fresh and colorful.
A few days ago I encountered something that is less colorful, but even more telling: an Arnold Newman gallery on The Digital Journalist.
And I also found Steve Shapiro’s Heroes gallery there. In the context of photography “hero … is the best image in a group of similar photographic images” selected by the editor. So, the editor is here again just like Joe McNally mentioned in the acknowledgement of his book.
And of course there is the 365 portraits site and the stunning portraits of Platon.
