Nick Turpin is a commercial and magazine photographer and just like Joe McNally he also loves using remotely triggered small hot shoe flashes even for serious assignments. I’ve just come across his video on Strobist.

In May this year I wrote about a new bridge here in Hungary near Budapest. At that time the bridge was being built and I had the opportunity to take a few pictures of it.
Now the brigde is completed and has been opened to the public.
I liked the geometric shapes and forms, the angles and straight lines of the bridge when visiting the construction area for the first time and seeing the photos afterwards.
Now it’s not only me who is amazed by those forms. Whenever I go there, walking or riding my bicycle on a sunny afternoon or even dark night I see many people there with cameras taking pictures or just looking at the engineering achievement that we can proud of.
Yes, there were political discussions around the bridge, just like about anything. And I’m not entirely happy with the extra traffic the bridge brings to the village where I live.
But this bridge looks great.
