New Hungarian Photography Portal

Posted by photonovice on 1st December 2009

fenyertek screenshotAfter weeks of secret discussions and work I proudly announce now that Fenyertek.hu, our Hungarian photography tutorial portal has just started to operate.
We are aiming to fill in the itching lack of freely available photography related information in Hungarian. We are going to share videos, podcasts and written material about lighting in studio and on location, portrait, landscape and macro photography, retouching and whatever else comes up as a matter of interest from our readers.

If you speak Hungarian come and visit us. But even if you don’t, you might enjoy some of our videos.

Jarvis gone McNally

Posted by photonovice on 6th August 2009

It is somewhat surprising for me to read a blog post from Chase Jarvis about lighting techniques. Not because he is not knowledgeable of the topic. He is definitely a master of his craft. However, over the time it became more of his blogging style to write about something more than just photography and its technical background.  For example, he recommended Paul Arden’s book which I purchased and inspired me a lot, and in an other post he encouraged us reading blogs rather about creativity, vision, mindset and approach.

What will poor McNally do if the young Jarvis takes everything over from him? :-)
